Let's Talk About Teachers Who Bring Joy, Encouragement, Color, and Creativity to the Classroom
College Park, East Point, Southwest Atlanta, South Fulton, Morrow, Forest Park, Jonesboro, and Riverdale are home to extraordinary educators who show up every day with passion, purpose, and a spark which lights up their classrooms and keeps their students and our children encouraged. Across our area, families know some teachers go beyond lesson plans and worksheets. They bring joy, encouragement, great vibes, creativity, and personality into their work, and their students feel the energy and synergy the moment they walk through the door.
These teachers embrace fun fashion, themed outfits, expressive accessories, and vibrant classroom styles which make learning feel exciting. Some wear school‑themed earrings during story time. Others show up in bright colors to match the mood of a lesson. A few even create entire wardrobes which reflect their love of teaching and their commitment to making school a happy place.
I know these teachers are out there in College Park, East Point, Southwest Atlanta, South Fulton, Morrow, Forest Park. Jonesboro, and Riverdale, and I want to celebrate them. If you know an educator who uses creativity, fashion, color, or joyful energy to inspire students, I want to feature them in an upcoming spotlight. Our community thrives because of teachers who show up with heart, and I want to recognize every single one. From the joyful energy of Pre‑K and kindergarten to the middle school synergy of thriving in pure, beautiful chaos to confident leadership of high school educators, we want to celebrate and recognize them all. So get those submissions ready! Submissions will be accepted through Friday, October 9th at 11:59 pm.
